Across the State of Utah

We left colorful Colorado this morning, crossed over into Utah where the views were dull but MOST spectacular, and ended at the other side of the state in Ely, Nevada.  The weather was on the cool side most all day so it was another good driving day.

I did not take very many pictures today because I could not capture the 360 degree views surrounding us at every turn, and up and down the mountains.  We were ringed with mountain ranges and more mountain ranges and lots of open, very flat land in between.  The views were spectacular in that they were like being in a bowl with panoramic views as your head turned and turned.  What I found was that a single shot of an area did not look at all like the whole picture.  So, please enjoy the ones I did take.
In front of us today was a Midget, MGB, and Midget
These photos on Snapfish give but a small example of what we saw today while driving through Utah:

  1. What a state! Ok, so there don't seem to be any people or buildings but the scenery is from another world. Funny how it is cool when the place looks so much like a desert.

Pat can't do 360 degree shots from a car - come on Pat, get with the program!!

Unbelievable how may states you have crossed so far - amazing.

I was sort scared to look at the Gas Across America tab then I realised that you meant the gas for the car and not the unmentionable! Talk about cheap!! Here we are at $12 a gallon. Although crude oil, it is called crude as some of the things it talks about are just disgusting, has fallen but hey the price at the pump has not - no one says or does anything so it is down to the British form of Violent Protest & Civil Unrest - the Tut.

No matter how small it gets you can still see Denis's Midget!
