Reno and Winners !

Today, Tuesday, June 14, was a relaxing day for all.  I attended some of the MG tech seminars, along with Tom and Laura and one session with Ron.  Ron with David finished up our wiring harness fix.  Dennis & Pat drove to Pyramid Lake.  Georgia & Trip took a bus tour to Lake Tahoe.  Janet & Elvin relaxed, watched a movie and walked around Reno.

We had some big winners today and some frustrations on the casino floor.  I don't gamble and don't even buy lottery tickets at home.  I found it difficult to even play the slots with some free money that we got when we checked in.  Thought I would give it a try but it was too confusing for me.  You don't use coins - you use a plastic card and then push combinations of buttons after entering your pin number, etc.  Anyway I gave my free money and coupons to Ron and he didn't fare much better.  You play with a plastic card and if you win, you get a paper receipt to take to the teller for cash.  One game I played had you hit the button again and again and again, etc. for 5 minutes to see how many points you would get and then get the points recorded to see if you would win at the end of the day as a high pointer.  How stupid was all I could think because there was no skill, no cards, no rules - just keep pushing the button. And you got 3 tries to do it!

Now back to the winners.  Laura won at the blackjack table.  I gave her the rest of my coupons as she has such fun with it.
Now that's a happy face !
The food was excellent at tonight's dinner.  Our other BIG winner of the day was from a 50/50 drawing at the MG B Register Dinner.  Trip won the cash - first good luck of this MG Adventure for Trip and Georgia.  Kind of makes up for all the parts that he had to order and install, along with all the technical guesses as to what was really wrong with his MG B.
Now that's another happy face !
