The day started out beautiful weather wise - just right for top-down driving along US Hwy 1 and I-85 North. After a stop in Petersburg, VA, at Moss Motors about 10 am, the weather turned hot and sunny. Still we managed to drive to Vienna, VA, on I-95 and I-495 with hardly breaking into a sweat. So, it was a great driving day. When we stopped for lunch, there were three fast-food restaurants to choose from. All I wanted was some shade to park the car under while we went to eat. Well, there wasn't any shade in the parking lots of the food places .... but over in a field was a lone shade tree so Ron went over the curb and we parked there. Great! place to park the car. Much thanks to Don and Jeanne for getting up early this morning to come by and take pictures of us as we were leaving.
We had a wonderful time with our family. Dinner was excellent and they had company for dinner, as well, so the conversation was stimulating and fun. At dinner: John, Kathleen, David, Marc, Teresa, Matt, Paul, Francine, and Ron & Pat.

Today is the DAY!! Yipee!! Hurrah!!
ReplyDeleteExcitedly I called the Queen and told her that Sir Ron and Lady Pat's Epic Journey begins. Her words were "Stick em a High 5 from me and my main man Phil". HRH also noted that it is 85,800 days since Her Colonies went their own selfish tawdry way, but also said "Hey, who's counting".
I am still in total awe that you two are doing this! Looking forward to the BLOG of BLOGS!
Who is that marvellous, strange, exotic and beautiful creature sitting next to you in the car? BTW That's a question for Pat.
